Sayın Kurucu Temsilcim, değerli velilerimiz, öğretmen ve idarecilerimiz ve sevgili öğrencilerimiz, Sayın YÜCEL Babamız ve Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk,
Büyük Önder Atatürk’ün ebediyete intikalinin 86’ıncı yılında onu anmak ve onu yaşatmak üzere bir araya geldiğimiz bugün de sizleri saygı ve sevgiyle selamlıyorum. Hepiniz hoş geldiniz…
Yaşam… Aslına bakarsanız az önce dinlediğimiz sese bağlı… Bir kalbin atmasına… İnsan hayatı bu kadar basit aslında… Doğarsın büyürsün yaşarsın ve veda edersin… Tüm bu süreç boyunca sadece “tık tık” diye çıkan bir ses… Ne güzel bir sestir, o ses… Canlılığı temsil eder… Bu ses varsa varsındır, yoksa yoksun…
Bu kadar basit midir peki gerçekten yaşamın bitmesi? Kalp durunca silinir mi her insan bu hayattan?
Evet kalp atışı durur belki… Belki bir kişi bu hayattan ayrılabilir ama bu demek değil ki o yaşam biter… Yaşamak devreye girer işte burada… Çünkü sadece yürümek, yemek, içmek değildir yaşamak. Fiziksel olarak orada olmak demek değildir sadece yaşamak…
Nasıl yaşadığın, neler yaptığın, ne izler bıraktığın belirler aslında senin yaşayıp yaşamayacağını, kalp atışı durduktan sonra… Güzel iz bıraksa da kötü iz bıraksa da o kalp dursa bile bıraktığı iz atmaya devam eder bu dünyada…
10 Kasım 1938 saat 9:05’te işte bir kalp durdu bu dünyada… Anlık bir sessizlik… “Tık tık tık” atmıyordu o kalp artık… O saniyeden sonra bıraktığı iz belli edecekti o kalbin atmaya devam edip etmeyeceğini… Güzel bir iz bırakıp bırakmadığını sonrasından yaşananlar gösterecekti…
O gün saat 9:05’te belki bir kalp duracaktı ama bir ölen bin olarak dirilecekti ve bugün de milyonlar olarak yaşayacaktı…
Nasıl mı?
Eğitimin olmadığı köylere eğitim götürerek tüm dünyada örnek gösterilecek, Nobel Ödülü kazanacak Aziz Sancar’ın ve onun gibi saymakla bitiremeyeceğimiz binlerce bilim insanının yüreğinde ve başarılarında yaşar Atatürk,
Geçmişte ilim irfan öğrenip gelecek nesillere bu bilgi birikimini aktarmaları için burslarla yurtdışındaki üniversitelere gönderdiği akademisyenlerin yetiştirdiği öğrencilerin makalelerinde, buluşlarında yaşar Atatürk,

Voleybolda dünya şampiyonu olan, teniste şampiyonluklar kazanan, olimpiyatlarda madalyalar kazanan, kısacası evlerine kapatılmamış, okumaya teşvik edilmiş, spor yapmaya teşvik edilmiş hür, bağımsız, eşit, seçen, seçilebilen, “Gururumuz Kızlarımızın” gözlerinde ve başarılarında yaşar Atatürk,
Okulumuzda her törende, gösteride, etkinlikte, her köşede, karışta yaşar Atatürk,
Yücel Babamızın, kurucu temsilcimizin, yönetim kurulumuzun, idarecilerimizin, öğretmenlerimizin, öğrencilerimizin, velilerimizin gözlerinde, konuşmalarında, duruşlarında yaşar Atatürk,
“Atatürk yanında olsaydı ona derdin?” diye soru sorduğumuz 5 yaşındaki öğrencilerimizin karşılıksız “Onu çok sevdiğimi söylerdim” demesinde yaşar Atatürk,
Kısacası YÜCE Okullarının her neferinde, her nefes atışında, her kalp atışında yaşar Atatürk
Yıllar geçse de asırlar geçse de bir kalp dursa da Mustafa Kemal’in kalbi hiç durmayacak… Onun kalbi, fikri, iradesi, düşünceleri; kısacası her şeyi, bizde can bulacak… O kalp bizimle beraber atacak… Bizim kalbimiz attıkça o yaşamaya devam edecek… Bizimle de bitmeyecek… Bizden sonra bu kalp atışını emanet edeceğimiz gençlerle de devam edecek… Buna inanın, buna güvenin… Şüpheye düştüğünüzde, inancınızı kaybettiğinizde; YÜCELEN Gençlerin gözlerine bakmanız, onların kalplerini dinlemeniz yeterli olacaktır…

I greet you all with respect and love as we gather today to commemorate and keep alive the memory of the Great Leader Atatürk on the 86th anniversary of his passing. You are all welcome..
Life… When you think about it, it depends on the sound we just heard… The beating of a heart… Human life is really that simple… You are born, you grow, you live, and then you bid farewell… Throughout this entire process, it’s just the sound of a ‘tick-tock’… What a beautiful sound that is… It represents vitality… If that sound exists, you exist; if it doesn’t, you don’t…
Is it really that simple for life to end? Does a person disappear from this life when the heart stops?
Yes, perhaps the heartbeat stops… Perhaps a person departs from this life, but that doesn’t mean that life ends… This is where living comes into play… Because living is not just walking, eating, or drinking. Living is not just about being physically present…
How you live, what you do, and the marks you leave behind actually determine whether you continue to live on after your heartbeat stops… Whether a good or bad mark is left, even if that heart stops, the mark it leaves continues to resonate in this world.
On November 10, 1938, at 9:05 a.m., a heart stopped in this world… A moment of silence… That heart no longer went ‘tick-tick-tick’… From that second onward, the mark it left would show whether that heart would continue to beat… Whether it left a beautiful mark would be revealed by what happened afterward…
That day, at 9:05, perhaps a heart would stop, but one who died would rise as a thousand, and today, they would live as millions…
How, you ask?
Atatürk lives in the hearts and successes of Aziz Sancar, who will be an example to the whole world by bringing education to villages where there is no education and win a Nobel Prize, and in the hearts and successes of thousands of scientists like him, whom we cannot count.
Atatürk lives in the articles and inventions of students taught by the academics he once sent to foreign universities on scholarships to learn and pass on their knowledge to future generations.
Atatürk lives in the products and innovations produced by the factories that were established with nothing in hand.
Atatürk lives in the successes of our doctors, whom he trusted so much and advised, 'Entrust me to them,' preferring them even over sending patients elsewhere.
Atatürk lives in every living being in the farms, forests, parks, and natural areas that are being destroyed and opened for construction today.
Atatürk lives in the eyes and achievements of our 'Proud Daughters' who were encouraged to study and participate in sports, winning world championships in volleyball, titles in tennis, medals in the Olympics, and in essence, were not confined to their homes but were free, independent, equal, choosing, and eligible to be chosen.
Atatürk lives in every ceremony, performance, event, every corner, and space of our school.
Atatürk lives in the eyes, speeches, and stances of our dear Yücel, our founder’s representative, our board of directors, administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
Atatürk lives in the sincere response of our 5-year-old students when asked, 'What would you tell Atatürk if he were here?' with an innocent, 'I would tell him I love him very much.'
In short, Atatürk lives in every member of YÜCE Schools, in every breath taken, in every heartbeat.
Even as years and centuries pass, even if a heart stops, the heart of Mustafa Kemal will never stop beating… His heart, ideas, willpower, thoughts—in short, everything about him—will find life within us… That heart will beat with us… As long as our hearts beat, he will continue to live… And it won’t end with us… This heartbeat will continue with the young people to whom we will entrust it after us… Believe in this, trust in this… When in doubt or when you lose your belief, it will be enough to look into the eyes of the Rising Youth, to listen to their hearts…
May his soul rest in peace! May he sleep soundly! His legacy is in safe hands…
